Irvin Yalom’s Group Therapy

I offer a range of group therapy classes aimed at working through targeted issues, such as anxiety and ADHD, incorporating Irvin Yalom's approach. This is grounded in existential philosophy and focuses on the interpersonal interactions among group members. Yalom defines 11 therapeutic, interconnected factors that lead to healing and transformation, emphasising the importance of the group as a social microcosm, whereby individuals can explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment. Yalom believes that by sharing personal experiences and feedback, participants can gain insights into their behaviours and relationships. His model encourages members to confront their fears, develop empathy, and take responsibility for their actions, making the therapeutic process empowering on both an individual and collective level.
